Solar Celebrations

OKL as a church congregation celebrates the seasons of Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall at the Solstices and Equinoxes, allowing folks to have their regular holidays free, to be spent with family or in more conventional worship. 

We keep an annual Calendar of Solar Celebrations, by which our communicants can deepen their experience of Time via the course of the seasons of the year, and to bring the inner life of the individual into dialogue with Nature. 

As the sun passes through it's cycles in Heaven we experience subtle and gross changes within the natural world and our inner selves. These are ideal times to honor the ancient traditional ways and to align ourselves with the energies of the living Cosmos.
